Adventure 11: The Toehold

Nunda(9th moon), 6th to 8th

The need for a base on the land—and the growing concern that there may not be enough space for the refugees, let alone enough food—leads the village to decide to find a ‘Toehold’ on the main land to use as a base. A sailor, “SWAMPY,” knows of an old smuggler’s cave, but it’s supposed to be haunted. The party, with their experience against undead, is sent to deal with the threat. What they find, however, is a sea hag, who torments them for quite a while before they successfully dispatch her and clear the smugglers’ cave. On the way back to the island though, only some 200-ft from the cave entrance, they are bombarded with rocks from hill giants. Having hill giants close the entrance of the smugglers’ cave seems like an unhealthy situation, so the party is sent out again…
