Adventure 12: NOISOME NEIGHBORS- Saying Hello

Nunda, 13th and 14th

After locating the giant’s sizable steading, the party decides to make its initial forray into the place. Using stealth and the cover of darkness while the sounds of the giants’ on-going revelry continues, the party scales the outside of the watchtower in the southwest corner, finding the giant there, as well as the two in the entry room below, drunk and asleep. After quickly dispatching their helpless foes, the party begins to move slowly, first through the western-most door, until they hear the sounds of a kitchen and retreat back to the entry room, then through the eastern-most door. There, the find a room with sleeping giants and dispatch two more of the enemy. Splitting the party to avoid making too much noise, they move deeper into the fort, finding some rooms more luxuriously appointed than the others. Oberyn moves out alone, stealthily checking the doors of the room and hearing something large moving around behind one of the doors. He then moves deeper, finding the back door that lets out on the dog yard they’d previously identified from above. Before Oberyn can return to the party, a large giant (large even by giant sizes) and two ogres come out of the middle room and pass the open door the front team is hiding behind. One of the ogres sees the party and combat engages, with Oberyn engaging from behind while the others in the back team, Warhol, Slip Knox, Arc9’ight and Synen Elvis rushed to catch up. After a pitched battle that seriously wounded several of the party members, the party retreated back to the roof of the fortress, where Warhol created a Psychoportive Shelter to hide the party for 14 hours while they healed and rested.
